Mrs. Unger can build a relationship with a child with just one book recommendation. She makes a difference every day.

Deb is an unapologetic advocate for literacy at the middle school level. She never stops looking for ways to hook middle school readers. She is also a teacher champion! She continues to help and support me as I learn and transition away from traditional classroom seating. Deb, most recently, went above and beyond to locate a class set of a novel to support our first content unit in social studies! She is a ROCK STAR!
Rachel Kinsey
Ms. Unger makes the school a welcoming and friendly place for Lassiter's students and staff. The students loved the maker's corner in the cafeteria and the easy access to reading materials.
